Ski tours
Those looking for a break from the pistes should try a ski tour in the region’s enchanting countryside. The holiday region of Tyrol West offers some of the most interesting and beautiful ski tour routes in the whole of the Alps. Feel the might of the mountains on routes suitable for both beginners and the more advanced.

Recommended tours in the Venet ski area:

  • Fliess – Glanderspitze: 5.4 km, ascent approx. 3 hours
  • Trams – Zammer Alm: 5.1 km, ascent approx. 2 hours
  • Rifenal – Krahberg: 5.6 km, ascent approx. 2.5 hours
  • Changing facilities are available at the mountain station

  • Grinner Hütte – Dawin: 4km, ascent approx. 2 hours
  • Naturparkhaus Kaunergrat – Gogeles Alm: 3 km, ascent time approx. 2 hours

Winter Hikes

Toboggan run
The region of Tyrol West is toboggan heaven. It’s where the famous “Kathreiner” toboggans are made and where the tobogganing season gets underway on numerous runs in the winter. Fans of this fast and furious winter sport have a wide range of toboggan runs to choose from:

  • Venet Süd toboggan run: Length 4.5 km
  • Anreit toboggan run: Length 6 km
  • Katlaun toboggan run: Length approx. 5 km
  • If you’re busy with other activities during the day, you needn’t worry about missing out: you’ll have a great time at the tobogganing evening at the Jagerhütte every Friday.
  • Venet – Jagerhütte approx. 40 minutes by foot

Cross-country skiing
Well-prepared cross-country ski trails amidst a breathtaking mountain panorama. Fans of cross-country skiing can expect wonderful high-altitude trails offering unique views:

  • Hubertus trail: length 6.3 km, 1580 m above sea level
  • Fuchsmoos trail: length 6.2 km, 1367 m above sea level
  • Bärenbad trail: length 7 km, 1581 m above sea level
  • Harbe trail: length 2 km, 1581 m above sea level
